The Senior Technical Writer acquires and analyzes product information, and develops and maintains end-user documents including but not limited to user manuals, service manuals, quick reference guides, training materials, instruction sheets, DICOM conformance statements, and related product labeling, for our medical imaging products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Independently determine a solution and drive its implementation.
Prioritize and organize multiple projects to meet required timelines.
Interact effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Must possess both a breadth and depth of experience.
Experience with content management systems; Author-it highly preferred.
Experience in simplified English, topic-based authoring, and minimalism required.
Strong organization skills.
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management.
Familiarity with Bill of Materials and Material Requirements Planning.
Experience with the complete publications cycle.
Advanced editing and writing skills.
Advanced understanding and experience with desktop publishing tools.
Must be customer-driven with ability to demonstrate past success in meeting information needs.
Ensures design, production methods, and processes are to support the Quality Policy as well as all ISO Quality System procedures and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five to eight years developing software/hardware/medical documentation for end users.
Experience working in FDA-regulated environment.
Experience in the medical imaging industry.
Familiarity with web applications and network protocols.
