The Sr. Supply Chain Specialist/Contract Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for performing purchasing and planning functions including assuring the material supply chain, developing procurement strategy, implementing supplier segmentation tools and making the determination of suppliers and prices for our Perinatal and MDx businesses.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Works to eliminate risk in the raw material supply chain
Manages outsourced contract manufacturing relationships, including contract negotiation, production planning, and delivery of product.
Develops and implements strategies for assuring supply including but not limited to second sourcing, negotiation of supply agreements, maintenance of safety stock inventory
Is responsible for the setting of strategic safety stock levels throughout the supply chain
Negotiates Supply agreements with critical suppliers
Participates as Perinatal Leader in the monthly IBP process
Develops material plans to meet Supply Chain strategies,
Oversees the purchase and delivery of materials,
Interfaces with the manufacturing organization to assist in planning of production to ensure supply of finished goods inventories
Negotiates pricing with suppliers.
Ensures compliance to FDA CGMP, ISO 13485, company and department procedures as appropriate,
Represents department in addressing and/or resolving Purchasing/Planning issues,
Works with suppliers on corrective actions, returns, scraps or other material dispositions,
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Working knowledge of computerized Purchasing/Inventory Management/MRP systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent.
Significant travel of up to 30% required
Experience in Oracle ERP and Agile highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience;
Certified CPIM through APICS preferred
Five to Eight years of related experience .
