Hologic Intern, Software Validation & Verification in San Diego, California

Intern, Software Validation & Verification

Post Date Jan 04, 2019

As a valued member of the Software V&V team an intern will provide assistance with test case executions and reliability and stress testing. These tests are resource intensive and require a lot of hands on instrument time. These test protocols are relatively simple to master and execute. This will free up more senior resources time to triage and analyze the data produced from these runs which is critical to determining the instrument and software performance and maturity. These tests also help us understand any deviations from the last commercial release of the software on that instrument platform.

This meaningful experience will provide a student the opportunity to learn how V&V is performed for software requirements on a Class I/II medical device. They will learn how to perform the testing in a FDA/UL regulated environment. They will learn how to complete the laboratory work in accordance with established safety procedures and follow applicable regulatory guidelines. They will gain valuable experience in product testing and V&V expertise on a medical device. They will learn to work in a team environment, execute protocols, collect the necessary data and perform first level of triage. Interns will be supervised by a test team member during their tenure with us.
