Hologic Manager, Systems Quality Assurance in Newark, Delaware

Job Summary

You will be part of an enthusiastic, results-oriented, and dynamic team of systems test engineers, software, hardware, and systems engineers working to design and develop Hologic’s best-in-class mammography and skeletal products. The ideal candidate will be someone who strives to understand how complex hardware/software systems operate to find ways to improve them.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working closely with test engineers, hardware/software developers, and architects, develop an expert understanding of our products and their use in clinical practice to design, develop, and test our next generation diagnostic systems.

  • Own planning and execution of product design verification and validation, including test plan development and management, day-to-day prioritization, test environments, and cross-functional relationships.

  • Oversee and participate in test execution and reporting.

  • Continuously identify product improvements and insist on the highest levels of product quality.

  • Apply and share knowledge of best practices in software, hardware, and systems testing and test automation.

  • Interface with external partners, providing day-to-day oversight on project tasks and guidance on technical issues.

  • Foster a positive and proactive work environment, emphasizing respect, high standards of quality, teamwork, and strengths-based leadership.

  • Position may require up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of systems quality assurance methodologies, processes, and best practices.

  • People management experience

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize.

  • Exceptional working knowledge of test automation and its application to hardware and software environments.

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and influence skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

  • Ability to meet commitments across multiple simultaneous projects and product lines.

  • Medical imaging or experience in an FDA-regulated environment preferred.

  • Previous experience working with a geographically diverse team preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline. Other disciplines may be considered based on experience.

Experience

  • At least 7 years of software and/or systems testing experience.

  • At least 3 years of recent test automation and/or software development experience using C#. Other language such as C++, Java or Python is acceptable.
