What to expect:

The Group Lead, Warehouse perform activities related to the timely and efficient movement of materials (receipt, handling, storage, shipment) in a fast-paced production environment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, consistently meet productivity metrics, and adhere to all company and departmental policies.

Has fully mastered skills discipline and trains junior staff levels.

Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Leads lower levels in same discipline.

  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment at all times. Identify, address, and react to any unsafe or hazardous situation. Conduct safety training for Operations team members and holds all associates accountable for working in a safe manner.

  • Responsible for meeting quality, efficiency and safety requirements and standards both as an individual contributor and as the Group Lead.

  • Fosters a positive and engaged team environment in which all associates are treated with dignity and respect.

  • Ensures team members are always adhering to standard operating procedures.

  • Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and make recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.

  • Leads managed daily improvement process and able to speak to all MDI metrics within Operations area. Represents area at higher level MDI Tier meetings as required.

  • Actively works to resolve Action Items raised at Tier 1 level and work with supervisor to escalate to higher level Tiers as appropriate.

  • Maintain and execute 5S within work area and supports 5S execution throughout area of responsibilities.

  • Demonstrate understanding of and holds team accountable for following Good Manufacturing Practices and Lean manufacturing principles within area.

  • Complete all training requirements in a timely manner and maintain accurate training records. Ensures all training is completed on-time within area.

  • Perform repetitive assembly of the company's products into complete packages including, but not limited to, software, medical or pharmaceutical products, PC boards, accessories, manuals, operating instructions and data sheets. May perform other packaging tasks including: placing labels on packages, operating small production equipment, putting manuals into binders, counting and sorting various items, and forming or breaking down boxes for final product. When applicable, maintains related records to comply with government standards.

  • Maintain all departmental controls, inventory accuracy, record retention and audit preparation.

  • Collaborate with internal customers to meet all production schedules and materials demand.

  • Work closely with third party logistics and service providers to maintain scheduling and productivity efficiencies.

  • Responsible for packaging inventory.

  • Interface with all departments in accomplishing department/company goals.

  • Responsible to oversee that all shipping emails and/or calls are responded to in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks.

  • Coordinate movement of products in both building locations ensuring we maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Provide and update products going in and out of the warehouse for storage.

  • Process documentation utilizing internal systems in addition to Electronic Data Interchange Systems supplied by various carriers.

  • Processes customer orders utilizing carrier-supplied systems and in-house systems.

  • Attend, represent and present as department Subject Matter Expert in meetings and functions as called upon.

  • Develop, train, and motivate staff to optimize performance.

  • Able to complete all necessary transactions independently and provide support to other associates as necessary.

  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to adhere to standardized production schedule for position and ability to work overtime to support production needs as necessary.

  • Coordinates associate schedules including scheduling overtime whenever required to achieve production targets and/or eliminate backlogs.

  • Ensure all members of the team within their area of responsibility adhere to policies and standards set for the organization.

Skills

  • Advanced ERP and Microsoft Office skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of overall department processes and functions

  • Fully trained in all functional department core responsibilities

  • Complete training Certification as required and demonstrate safe operation of Departmental MHE

  • Achieve Best in Class productivity metrics (volume, accuracy, timeliness) in line with departmental goals

  • Knowledgeable with inventory, shipping and receiving process, and methodologies

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team

Education Experience

  • High School or General Education Degree (GED)

  • May have an Associate degree

  • 5+ years of experience

The annualized base salary range for this hourly role is $50,400 - $75,500 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
