Hologic is a global organisation providing women’s health care products and services. The role will be based at the Wythenshawe site in Manchester where both production and support functions are located. Manufacturing has been expanding over the past few years and produces products for the Diagnostics part of the organisation. It is planned that the number of products will continue to grow at the site. In addition there are other US produced products which are distributed to UK customers.
An international hub outside the US has been established in the UK over the past 12 months. This has resulted in significant accounting activity flowing through UK legal entities, together with key international roles being established in the UK. The UK accounting team, the Senior Director - European accounting, Senior Director - Finance Planning and Analysis, and Vice President - International Finance are all located at Manchester.

ROLE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of monthly Management Accounts within the agreed target dates
Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Variance Analysis and commentary
Cost centre reviews
Calculation of monthly revenues, according to the group’s revenue recognition policy
Development of compliance controls, processes and procedures
Preparation of VAT/HMRC reports
Supporting the Financial Accountant with ad hoc queries/projects
Providing cover within the GL team when needed in areas such as weekly bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
Any other duties reasonably expected of the job holder

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5 GCSE’s or equivalent qualifications including Maths & English
Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
Oracle experience would be an advantage but is not essential
