As a Senior Manager of International Tax , you will play a pivotal role in navigating the complexities of global taxation, ensuring compliance, and optimizing tax strategies for the business. Your expertise will guide us through tax planning, audit support, and contribute to Hologic’s financial health and strategic growth.

This role is based in Manchester, UK and will be a 1-year Fixed Term Contract, covering a maternity leave.

What to expect

  • Lead and manage international tax matters, including compliance, reporting, and strategy development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive tax-efficient structures.

  • Provide expert advice on international tax implications of business proposals.

  • Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation to maintain alignment with global standards.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and manage external advisors and auditors.

  • Coordinate external audits and take the lead on some audits as assigned.

  • Collaborate closely with the international accounting teams around payments, quarterly tax reporting, transfer pricing, intercompany settlement, M&A activity, and statutory and year-end group reporting.

  • US – provide support for US federal international related compliance (Forms 5471/8858, 926, 8883, 5452, 5713, 1118) and Form 1042 compliance.

  • US – Assist with E&P / tested income calculations, quantifying Subpart F income, foreign source income, foreign tax adjustments and foreign apportionment factors required for U.S. federal and state income tax filings.

  • Provide support and assistance to the transfer pricing team.

  • Keep informed of new international tax developments and work with the Senior Director, International Tax to consider the impact on current business operations; and ensure compliance with any new requirements.

  • Assist with managing relationships with outside tax consultants and regulatory authorities on an ongoing basis.

  • Continually identify and drive process improvements around all aspects of tax

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to navigate a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Accounting/Finance

  • Chartered accountant (or equivalent) or Chartered tax advisor
