ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the EMEA & UK Indirect Buyer, you will:

  • Analyse purchasing data to identify supplier and spend rationalization opportunities

  • Lead local sourcing activities to support EMEA & UK Indirect demand requirements

  • Responsible for supplier negotiation and terms & conditions

  • Lead supplier identification, review and approval of suppliers to the Approved Supplier List

  • Identify VIP cost reduction opportunities

  • Monitors & performs follow-up on supplier delivery dates. Address supplier delivery or quality issues

  • Conversion of iProcurement Purchase Requisitions for Expense type requirements into Purchase Orders within the ERP computer system

  • Providing internal customers with Purchase Order numbers

  • Provides assistance to Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate payment of Suppliers’ invoices

  • Creates and updates supplier records within the ERP computer system in line with corporate procedure

  • Monitors Purchase Requisitions for compliance with company Authority Policy

  • Ensures compliance to company accreditations by adhering to corporate and departmental procedures

  • Provides training and guidance on the use of the iProcurement requisitioning tool

  • Business related qualification and minimum of 3-5 years related experience

  • BA/BSc degree and related experience

  • Supplier identification and evaluation skills

  • Negotiation skills

  • Strong Communication skills

  • Project Management skills

  • Presentation skill

  • Advanced knowledge of computerized ERP based Purchasing systems

  • Knowledge of Accounting / Purchasing / Receiving interactions

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent software

  • Training skills
