The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for coordinating, reviewing, and ultimately consolidating regional demand forecasts to ensure an effective and predictable Sales & Operations (S&OP) process.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Leads demand management activitiesfor each monthly S&OP cycle including:
Coordinates development of product forecasts by region overshort/medium/long term planning horizon (ie. 24+ months rolling forecast)
Review forecasts in conjunction with Sales Ops., Distributors, andCRM tools
Analyses key customerordering patterns, product sales trends, and the impact ofProduct/Marketing plans on the regions to improve predictability offorecasts
Develops the monthly KPI package and drives improvements relatedto demand management - including, but not limited to: forecast accuracy,exception management, execution reliability, Phase-in-Phase-out, revenue,volume, margin, etc.
Follows up with required stakeholders to resolve forecast issuesand improve accuracy
Partner with Finance to perform the monthly Financial Forecastingsubmission, factoring avg. selling price, mix, and margin to ensuremonthly Financial realisation
Identifies risks and opportunities and develops scenario plans tooptimise results
Clearly documents assumptions underpinning the forecast, as wellas key changes, market shifts, confidence intervals, etc.
Work with Product Management and Marketing stakeholders to developdetailed plans for the introduction of new products and phase-out ofdiscontinued products
Formally handover monthly demand plans to supply planners forfulfilment i.e. Demand and Supply balancing
Ownership of Monthly Regional Demand Reviews (RDRs)
Supportspreparation and facilitation of Regional Demand Reviews and otherassociated S&OP meetings, including consolidation and distribution ofpresentation materials, presentation of plans, meeting notes/action items,etc.
Provide facilitation support for Executive S&OP monthlymeetings
ProvideExecutives with effective information to support business planningdecisions
Workswith management team to identify and resolve issues in support ofS&OP
Reports on health of all steps of the demand management process
Support Implementation & Process Improvement
Supportsthe ongoing process improvement of S&OP process with focus on demand
Helpdrive organisational adoption of the S&OP process through education& coaching
Partneras required to build collaborative planning processes with partners(customer value chain) to increase global supply chain visibility
Form andlead cross-functional teams involving Marketing, Product/R&D,Finance, Sales to continually enhance demand plans and forecast accuracy
Liaisewith Coordinators and Owners of each element in the S&OP process
Provideanalytical support to improve the quality and timeliness of S&OP datareporting (sales, production, inventory, project risks, uncertainties, etc).
Escalate barriers and project status to Execs/Steering team
Supports implementation of S&OP enabling software and relatedtools
The successful candidate will have:
Strong interpersonal and influencingskills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple internalfunctions, and where applicable, external strategic business partners
Strong experience in Demand Planningand/or Sales & Operations Planning
Experience implementing new businessprocesses and driving organisational change
Strong analytical and problem solvingskills including statistical analysis
Advanced knowledge ofoperations/manufacturing systems, including S&OP/MRP concepts
Advanced knowledge of S&OP systems andprocesses
PC Proficiency – MS Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Outlook
Oracle ERP and Kinaxis RR Planningsoftware a plus
Bachelor of Science or equivalent inManagement, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
