Diagenode, the leader in the field of epigenetics, provides full solutions for epigenetics-related research such as biomarker discovery and studies which aim at understanding disease-related mechanisms of action. We support our customers in setting up their own epigenetic workflows or by processing samples on their behalf via our Epigenomics Lab Services platform. For its Life Sciences division, Hologic is looking for a highly motivated Head of Epigenomics Laboratory Services to join the team. Together with her/his team, the Head of Epigenomics Lab Services is responsible for delivering lab services to our global customer base, and expanding our activities based on business growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Drive the strategical planning and tactical execution of the laboratory activities.
Develop structures and strengthen the interaction and alignment between the international and US organizations in Hologic.
Build, coach and develop a global team (Europe and USA), and engage them to achieve short, medium and long-term goals.
Lead the process of setting up and ensuring continuous improvement of the quality system.
In charge of planning, staffing, budgeting and managing expense priorities.
Monitor key performance indicators in order to improve processes and increase the team’s efficiency while maintaining delivery of high-quality services.
In collaboration with the finance team, monitor general and project-related profitability of lab services and make recommendations in terms of structure and processes for increasing profit.
Work in close collaboration with the Business Development and Sales teams (Europe, USA) to ensure an efficient commercialization of our lab services (project design, quoting and training needs).
Ensure optimal management of service projects in order to meet customer’s deadlines, and quality requirements.
Interact with clients to recognize unmet needs and identification of trends and business opportunities in the field.
What we’re looking for:
Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, research experience in genetics or epigenetics is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a clinical lab with an in-depth knowledge of ISO/GCP/GLP/CLIA Quality System Regulations.
Understanding of the CRO/pharma marketplace is an advantage.
Proven ability to motivate and direct lab services teams to meet goals and objectives through influencing representative behaviour.
Proven ability for thriving in complex organizational environments.
Experience in building strong collaborative relationships with other teams (R&D, Marketing, HR, Finance and Logistics).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Advanced knowledge of Laboratory Services Quality management systems
Root Cause Analysis methods
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
